Harris | We want three points to strengthen our hold

Interviews

MIDDLESBROUGH PREVIEW | HARRIS

Neil Harris held a virtual press conference ahead of Saturday afternoon's trip to Middlesbrough.

City face Neil Warnock's Boro in their final away match of the '19/20 regular season, and Harris called on his men to be fully prepared for the test lying in wait.

“We know it’s going to be a tough challenge,” he began. “It’s going to be an organised team, a physical team.

“We have to be at our best as we were against Derby the other night, against Leeds, when we went to Preston, Bristol City, Nottingham Forest – to win games. We’ve got to be at that level again."

Match Pass | Boro vs. City

Harris went on to explain how the Bluebirds can avoid looking over their shoulders in the final two matches, with sights firmly set on the job at hand.

“You look at the league table and the best way to secure your place and demoralise the teams below you is by winning games,” he added. “That’s all we’ve got to do.

“It is quite bizarre that it’s my old team chasing us and then our local rivals as well, but that’s why we love football, isn’t it?

“It is crazy how these things unfold. With two games to go, we go to Boro and Neil takes over there too. Football has a strange way of letting these things happen.

“But all Saturday is about is us trying to get three points to strengthen our hold on that Play-Off place.”
