Philogene post-Bristol City | We deserved the result

Following Cardiff City's 2-0 Severnside derby victory on Saturday afternoon, Jaden Philogene spoke to Cardiff City TV to discuss the result.

Putting in a terrific performance at CCS, Philogene scored City's second goal of the afternoon with a wonderful strike from the edge of the area. Jaden began by praising the home side's efforts against the Robins.

“It was a good game today," said Philogene. "The boys bounced back from the Norwich game last week, and I thought that we all did well and deserved the result.

"We had to bounce back, and the boys did well in training during the week."

Philogene continued by reflecting on the goal he scored to seal the home victory, before commenting on teammate Perry Ng's late turn between the sticks after 'keeper Ryan Allsop was sent off in injury time.

“We have to keep it going how we’re doing now and getting results," he explained. "For my goal I just cut in, saw the opportunity at the near post, took the shot and it went in!

“We had to keep our heads to end the game! I’ve not seen that before, but I wasn’t ever nervous, Pez can do it all!”
