Sheffield Wednesday are currently at the bottom of the PDL North table, sitting in tenth place with a total of 16 points earned so far in their league campaign.

The Owls have picked up one point from their last five fixtures, drawing away from home against Peterborough United in February. Their most recent victory came against Crewe Alexandra on January 27th, when Wednesday defeated the Railwaymen 3-2 at home to secure their fifth win of the campaign.

Sheffield Wednesday's U21 side is managed by former defender Neil Thompson, who in his playing days made his name at Scarborough and Ipswich Town.

After managerial spells in charge of York City, Scarborough and Boston United, Thompson eventually settled into his current role, where he earned success by winning both the PDL North and National title at the end of the 2016/17 season.

Coming back from an international break where several young Bluebirds have impressed across different age levels for Wales, City will look to build upon their recent victory over Ipswich Town, with the battle towards the top end of the PDL South table continuing as we near the end of the season.
