Warnock: We've got to move on & overcome these problems

Interviews

Neil Warnock spoke at the Madejski Stadium following the Bluebirds' Sky Bet Championship defeat to Reading.

George Pușcaș' brace and John Swift's third left City empty-handed on the road, with the Gaffer explaining that a team effort is needed to address their defensive mistakes.

"If you defend like we are defending, you will lose games," said Warnock. "We've been poor at the back. It was the same at Wigan when otherwise, we could have won that game.

“You can’t really cater for the goals that we’ve let in. Quite a few have been making mistakes and we’ve been punished for them. It's not just defenders - it's what's in front of them as well. It's a team game and you have to defend better than we did today."

City have an immediate chance to put things right, hosting Huddersfield Town at CCS on Wednesday evening. The Gaffer called for his men to put in a performance worthy of a second successive home victory, as he praised the Bluebirds faithful.

"We've got so many games coming up quickly now: Huddersfield, Blackburn, Fulham. So, we haven't got time to dwell on it," he continued.

"We've got to move on and overcome the problems that we've been given today. We need to make sure we give the fans something to cheer about on Wednesday."
