Whitehead pre-Millwall | We will throw everything at them

Dean Whitehead spoke to the press on Friday morning, previewing City's final match of January.

City host Millwall at Cardiff City Stadium tomorrow afternoon in a huge Sky Bet Championship clash.

"We're in a precarious position but there is only one way to get out of it: winning games," Whitehead stated. "We will go after Millwall. We will throw everything at them and hopefully that will get us what we want at the end.

"Everyone knows what Millwall are like. They're a tough side and they'll be organised. They'll get the ball forward quickly.

"We have to be ready for this. We understand how they play and we have to hurt them when we have the ball.

"We have to take the game to teams, especially at home.

"We need everybody behind us. We need to stick together as a group and as a Club."

Wednesday's fixture at Leeds United was Dean's first leading the team out.

He continued: "I enjoyed the feeling of preparing and taking the team but it was a difficult night. The lads showed good togetherness though. We can take some positives from it going into Saturday.

"We have to take positives from every situation. We can score goals and we've got the players to score goals. We have to contribute from all areas and we're working really hard to do that.

"We have to learn from our mistakes as they're costing us too often.

"The boys will be raring to go on Saturday."
