BOURNEMOUTH REACTION | WILSON

The Bluebirds drew with AFC Bournemouth on Wednesday evening, with Harry Wilson netting on his home debut.

After the match, City’s recent signing spoke to the press and revealed his delight to net on his first start.

“I’m buzzing,” Harry began. “I'm delighted to get off the mark and I was desperate to do it to get myself settled.

“I thought the team did well against a really good footballing team. I knew a few of them from last season and the way they were going to play, but I thought for the majority of the game we did well.

“We had chances, they had chances - so I think in the end the point was fair.”

The midfielder scored 15 goals when he last completed a Championship season in 2018/19 and he went on to explain his aims for the current campaign.

“I think in my last Championship season I had a very good goals tally,” the 23-year-old continued. “I’m hoping I have that again with a few more assists to help Cardiff City be in the promotion picture.

“You look around the stadium, the quality of players: it’s a Premier League Club, so I’m desperate to play my part to get us back up there.”
