City now have two remaining league fixtures against Swansea City and Wrexham, prior to competing in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup and Adran Trophy Finals.

There are three remaining fixtures for Sunday’s opponents, with two clashes against Aberystwyth Town to follow.

PRE-MATCH NOTES | IAIN DARBYSHIRE

Head coach Darbyshire shared his thoughts ahead of this Sunday's fixture.

“We were delighted to secure the league title on Wednesday night with a brilliant performance and a great win. I’m so proud of all the players and the staff, because there has been so much hard work going on behind the scenes to retain top spot in the Adran Premier, following from last season’s success.

“Whilst we are delighted with Wednesday’s result, we have to refocus now and put in a strong performance on Sunday. It is a South Wales derby, which speaks for itself. There are still four massive games for us to end the season, so we’re going to be continuing our hard work to ensure that we achieve the targets that we set at the start of the campaign.

“Our win over Swansea at Llandarcy earlier this season was a real catalyst for us. Hopefully, we can come away with another win on Sunday, but in order to that, we have to put in a good performance, because we’re expecting a reaction from them.”
