Pre-season training is well underway at Cardiff City as the squad are pushed to their limits in preparation for the upcoming Sky Bet Championship campaign, only five short weeks away. Ole Gunnar Solskjær and his coaching team are rigorously testing the squad’s fitness levels now that the majority of players have returned to our Vale of Glamorgan training base this week.

The goal of course is to reach peak performance levels for the televised opening Football League fixture of the 2014/15 season, away at Blackburn Rovers on Friday 8 August. But a great deal of hard work has to be done before league points can be contested, starting this week on the training pitches and in the gym before our series of senior pre-season fixtures; the first away game next Monday.
