In the latest in our series of Cardiff City YouTube Tales, Media Contributor, Connor Pearce, has picked out his favourite moment caught on film during the 2015/16 season.
Back in April, a record home crowd cheered City on to a 2-1 victory over Derby County, and Cardiff City Player HD were on hand with a time-lapse video of the crowd building up at CCS. Watch that video at the top of this page - while you can read Connor's summary below...
"After a week of intense build up, crucially underpinned by the South Wales community, it seemed as though our season-defining clash with Derby County was going to break a club record. Thanks to thousands of Season Ticket renewals, and great participation in our #CityAsOne game at St. David’s Hall, a Cardiff City Stadium capacity crowd for a Bluebirds match was expected for the Derby fixture.
"When match-day arrived, it was clear that the game was going to be a very special occasion. The amazing atmosphere building up outside the ground was slowly but surely making its way into the stadium, on a beautiful day in the Welsh capital. Taking my place in the stand before kick-off was an amazing moment; to see 28,680 fans ready to cheer their team to victory was a season-defining occasion. The City support was massive – with goals from Bruno Ecuele Manga and Stuart O’Keefe being spectacularly serenaded by a loud and proud Cardiff contingent."
