The Gaffer let us know what he expects ahead of City's 'Foundation Day 2018' clash with Forest, which kicks off at 7:45pm on Saturday evening.

“We’ve got to work hard again and that’s all we do,” began the City boss. “We don’t know any different.

“I do like [Aitor Karanka] as a manager and he’s turning it around. He’ll want to have a good end to the season and plan for the next one.

“They won’t be straight forward, these games, because there aren’t any easy games in the Championship.”

Neil went on to explain just how important the support of the City faithful has been this term - both on the road and here at our Cardiff City Stadium home.

“I’ve been a manager 38 years and I never thought I’d see a game of football kick off at 7:45pm on a Saturday night," he added.

“But whatever the numbers, I want the fans who can come to get behind us and make a good shout of it. They’ve done really well at home and away this season and they’ve been instrumental in how well we’ve done.

“When I’m bored and I have five minutes, I do click on to the fans’ forums and things. Sometimes I do wish I could reply to some comments, but maybe it’s just as well that I can’t!”
