Cardiff City's U18 side return to PDL action in the Welsh capital by hosting Swansea City on Saturday morning - 11am KO.

The young Bluebirds are looking to continue their winning start to the U18 PDL campaign as they set out to face the Swans, following an impressive 3-2 away victory over Hull City last week.

City went ahead on three occasions against the Tigers, with Gabriele Biancheri and Tanatswa Nyakuhwa each netting before Cody Twose scored a dramatic 95th minute winner in East Yorkshire.

Swansea City have so far won one of their four PDL matches played this season, as they defeated Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 away from home on August 26th.

Most recently, the Swans faced Burnley away from home, where they came away with a point following a 3-3 draw on the road.

Ahead of the weekend's fixture, U18s Manager Steve Jenkins discussed the buildup within the camp:

"It was a difficult game away at Hull last time out," said Steve. "But we stuck to our task and got the result. It's given the lads a big confidence boost going into the game on the weekend, and that's been clear in preparation this week.

"A lot of the players have been within the Academy for a number of years, so they know the importance of this game on Saturday. It's one that we all look forward to, and all of the boys want to start.

"There will be some disappointed faces from some of the lads who aren't in that starting eleven, but that just shows how desperate everyone is to play."
