Cardiff City FC: There for our Community
At Cardiff City Football Club, we know that our supporters are at the heart of what makes this Club so special. The passion, loyalty and sense of community that our supporters bring to Cardiff City extends far beyond matchdays and we recognise the important role the Club can play in supporting the health and wellbeing of the people who make up our Bluebirds family.
We also recognise the unique power of football to bring people together, to reach people from all walks of life, create conversations and share important messages that can have a positive impact beyond the stadium. Our supporters and the wider Cardiff community are an integral part of the Club, and looking after their health and wellbeing is something we care deeply about.
We want Cardiff City to be more than a place to come together to support the team: we want it to be a platform that can help share important health messages, encourage conversations and signpost our community towards information and support.
Looking after our community means looking after the people who make Cardiff City what it is.
This season and going forward, each edition of the matchday programme will feature a ‘wellbeing corner’, sub-edited by Medical Director, Prof. Len Nokes, Club Psychologist, Dr Mikel Mellick and First Team Doctor, Dr Lamah El-Sharkawi – with contributions from Club medical personnel, health partners, researchers and charities. The copy and access to resources can thereafter be found on this page via the links below.
