Cardiff City Manager, Neil Warnock, has been named in the EFL’s four-man shortlist for the August Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month Award.
The City boss has overseen a faultless start to the 2017/18 campaign, with five wins from five games seeing the Bluebirds occupy top spot in the league.
The EFL named the Bluebirds’ Manager alongside Thomas Christiansen (Leeds United), Nuno Espírito Santo (Wolverhampton Wanderers) and Mick McCarthy (Ipswich Town) in the running for the prestigious award.
The Manager joins Nathaniel Mendez-Laing in the list of EFL nominations, with the winger up for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award.
The EFL provided an assessment of the Bluebirds start to the campaign under Neil Warnock, commenting: “[Warnock] promised the Cardiff fans a tilt at promotion back in the spring and delivered handsomely on that pledge in August, leading his side through a perfect month with five wins from five games to sit proudly atop the Championship table.”
The winner of the award will be announced on Friday, 8th September, 2017.
