Cardiff City centre-back Sol Bamba said that he and the squad are still in “dreamland” after securing promotion to the Premier League - in an interview you can watch for free above!
The centre-back put in yet another exemplary performance in Sunday’s 0-0 draw with Reading, before expressing just how much promotion means to him.
“We feel great,” he beamed. “To be fair, we are still in dreamland and we are all celebrating at the minute and enjoying ourselves.
“It means everything because I have been in this country for a while now and we all want to play at the top level. The Premier League is the top level and I’m looking forward to that. For now though, we want to just enjoy ourselves.
“I just stood there and the fans came up to me. It was nice and I wanted to get involved because it’s a special moment and a memory that I’ll have forever.”
Sol was also full of praise for Neil Warnock, and said that the Gaffer’s drive has been one of the keys to the Bluebirds’ success.
“I said to him, you’ve done your magic again. Having worked with him I know why he’s managed to get that many promotions. I think that it’s the drive that he’s got. He won seven and wanted to get the eighth.
“Having him still wanting to do that at his age is unbelievable and it passes down to the players. We respond to that. He’s one of the best managers that I’ve played with.”
